CABARET

Cast: Jill Haworth (Sally Bowles), Bert Convy (Clifford Bradshaw), Lotte Lenya (Fräulein Schneider), Jack Gilford (Herr Schultz), Joel Grey (Emcee), Edward Winter (Ernst Ludwig), Peg Murray (Fräulein Kost)

The plot: An American writer, Cliff Bradshaw, arrives at Berlin and he meets an interesting group of characters: Ernst Ludwig, a smuggler working for the Nazi party; Fräulein Schneider, an old lady who rents rooms at her flat; Herr Schultz, a Jewish fruitier with a romantic interest on Schneider; Fräulein Kost, a woman with lots of sailor friends she entertains at her bedroom; Emcee, the host of the Kit Kat Club; Sally Bowles, an English singer working at that club and with whom he began a relationship. As the Nazi Party is rising, the life of each one of them will change forever.
