WOMAN OF THE YEAR

The plot: Tess Harding is a famous television personality who trashes the cartoonist profession, that leads to a revenge from the part of a cartoonist, Sam Craig, who decides to create a new comic character inspired by Tess. She is astonished by his attack, but when they meet there’s a common attraction between them and later they became husband and wife. Things don’t work out and they split, but soon they discover they need each other and the two happy reconcile.

Awards: Tony for Best Actress (Lauren Bacall), Featured Actress (Marilyn Cooper), Book and Original Score. Drama Desk for Outstanding Featured Actress (Marilyn Cooper)
